We are looking for a capable chef that can work over the festive period. Starting the 30th November

The Candidate Ideally you will have experience at a commis chef/chef de partie level at a minimum.

FRONT OF HOUSE

We are looking for a bright and confident individual to join the team.

Cellar Door is an independent bar and restaurant specialising in local ingredients and has a high quality menu. We are looking for staff who will reflect the standards and have an interest in food and local ingredients.

The hours of the role will fluctuate between 12 and 20 a week but with two guaranteed days off a week (Mondays and Tuesdays). The right candidate will not mind working late nights especially Fridays and Saturdays.

The perfect person for this role will be someone who is confident, patient and passionate for providing great customer service. Someone with experience working in hospitality is preferable but full training will be given.

GENERAL MANAGER

Cellar Door is looking for an exceptional general manager to lead our talented bar and kitchen team.

Main responsibilities would include:

Operational

  • Manage day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
  • Establish targets and uphold schedules, policies and procedures
  • Assist in planning and implementing of procedures for all events
  • Promote the bar and restaurant in line with the company’s marketing plans

Standards

  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
  • Continuously work to a higher level, suggesting improvements and changes where needed
  • Identify customer’s needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
  • Ensure staff are delivering exceptional customer service and maintain high food and service standards

Staff training

  • Ensure effective orientation and training for new staff
  • Provide a two way communication with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
  • Ensure the team complies with health and safety regulations and adhere to the alcohol licensing laws

Skills required

  • A confident, approachable and professional manor
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Attention to detail with impeccable customer service skills
  • The ability to multi task and possess extremely good time management skills
  • Good knowledge of food and wine
  • Bar and cellar qualifications desirable
  • Previous experience working in a similar role is required

This is a full time position and due to the nature of the business the role would include daytime, evening and weekend work.
